Daniela is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. Counselling can be useful to steady us when there is a sense of imbalance within ourselves, our relationships, and our physical and social environment. Daniela is a compassionate and empathetic practitioner who fosters optimism in her work with clients. Daniela’s approach is informed by solid academic training in Humanistic Counselling, also known as person-centred counselling. The person-centred approach acknowledges that everyone has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change. Daniela works in a collaborative and nondirective way that empowers and motivates the client. During therapy, Daniela provides support, guidance, and structure. This allows the client the opportunity to develop their own understandings, solutions, and strategies. Daniela also draws upon principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as other evidenced based therapies.
Daniela works in the following areas;
Anxiety and Depression
Meaning and Purpose
Grief and Loss
